The Proposal
Your idea to
create a bold, user-friendly and interactive website for
Saint John 225. Please describe your creative process,
including design influences and technology
recommendations, and your proposed work schedule,
including preliminary deadlines, for the design and
deployment of the website.
My creative
process:
is first thinking of color’s, design, layout, and
functionality. Once I find a color scheme I’ll work it
together with some graphics till I get something that I
think look’s nice and works well. Relay what I have done
back to the client for approval now if there is some
changes need made they will be done and sent back for
approval. Once the look and feel is approved I move onto
cutting up the images and placing them into tables and
cell in html. Now at this point I might decided to use a
little animation that’s were flash comes in. I can add
animations of text and images throughout the site to
liven it up some which can add a professional look but
not to busy to hurt the eyes. Once the design is done
for the main page I will create the sub-pages and text
and images and link them all together. Once all these
task are complete and maybe a few tweaks from the client
I will then access the hosting companies server and
upload the site. From there I can access the server at
anytime to be able to update the client’s site for them.
Including
design influences and technology:
Well there is so much media around us Video,
Advertising, Internet. You get bits and pieces from all
of that and put that together to create a look and feel
for the client. You see people’s layouts and how they
put things text and images here and there. After years
of doing this I just need some company info (A Topic) of
what the company is about and I can through them
together a couple of mock up design’s in a couple of
hours.
Technology Recommendations:
My work process is that I design everything custom from
scratch in Photoshop once the client approves the look
and feel I will then cut it up in Photoshop and then
place it in Microsoft Front Page in tables and cells
create the sub-pages place the text and images in place
then upload the site with my FTP software. The more back
end software and database stuff will be taken care of by
my partner Jason Timms.
Proposed work schedule:
Available at
all times.
